Whilst they are clearly separate species, the physiological similarities between wapuu wordcampius and the indigenous wild haggis (haggis scottii dexterous) from the Scottish Highlands are unmistakable. This points to a common ancestry, perhaps back to that period in pre-history when Scotland was joined to Eurasia by a land bridge.

GlasgoWapuu is indeed fortunate that WordCamp Glasgow 2020 is taking place in February because the hunting season for wild haggis finishes on 25 January. Safe in the city, he is in no danger of being confused with his wild, distant cousin.

Come to WordCamp Glasgow 2020 and observe GlasgoWapuu in his natural habitat.

Wapuus originated in Japan after a Tokyo WordCamp after party in 2009.
