WordCamp Glasgow will be held at Project Ability, on the 3rd floor at 103 Trongate, in the heart of Glasgow city centre.

The Trongate 103 building is a centre for the arts and creativity; opened in 2009. It is fully accessible and has a lift, an accessible toilet, and a quiet room.

The venue is on the doorstep of the Merchant City area, with some of the best bars, restaurants and hotels in Glasgow.

Getting there

  • Rail – Both Glasgow Central and Glasgow Queen Street stations are within a 10 minute walk (the low level Argyle Street station is within a 5 minute walk).
  • Air – Glasgow Airport is a 20 minute drive from city centre on M8 (depending on traffic). The express 500 is the most frequent airport bus service. Taxis may be subject to boundary charge (airport is just outside city in Renfrewshire).
  • Bus/Coach – Buchanan Bus Station is within a 15 minute walk. Trongate is a bus route from East End with stops near venue (services include 2, 60, 61 and 240).
  • Car – The nearest motorway is the M8 (junction 15 via Cathedral St/High St). Parking is available at NCP cark park on King Street or Q Park on Albion Street, within a 5 minute walk from the venue. There are electric charging points on Wilson Street.
  • Subway – The nearest underground station is St Enoch, within a 10 minute walk down Argyle Street/Trongate.
  • Cycling – The nearest NCN Route is 75/Clyde Walkway via Glasgow Green/Glasgow Cross (protected route from London Rd via James Morrison St/St Andrews St to Osbourne St/King St). Cycle parking stands are on King Street, next to venue. Nearest Nextbike hire station is Bell Street at Merchant Square, within a 5 minute walk.
